Cardamom Seeds

The most common cardamom product is the cardamom pod. Inside the pod are the seeds. If you don’t need the pod/shell of the cardamom, and don’t want to go through the tedium of de-seeding the pods, you can buy our loose cardamom seeds. The seeds we have in stock are classed as 1st grade, i.e. as close to uniformly black as possible.

Growing area

It is not a coincidence that the location of spicekada.in is called the Cardamom Hills. It is the prime location for growing cardamom. Our cardamom stock is always locally grown around Kumily Town.

Storage and shelf life

Cardamom should be stored in an airtight container in a dark, cool place, but not in a refrigerator. Seeds have a shorter shelf life than pods, but should last for 6 months if stored correctly.
